Chakib Loucif is Vice President Engineering, Americas Components, at Arrow Electronics, Inc. With a history of successful transformational business initiatives and a passion for innovation, Loucif leads technical strategy and engineering services for Arrow Electronics, Inc., a Fortune 138 company and global provider of electronic supply chain solutions, including components, Enterprise Computing and end-of-life services.
Loucif has been instrumental in the application of quality principles and techniques that have helped Arrow Electronics cement its market leadership. He is an experienced leader with proven track record in Change Management, Strategy and Business Development, ERP Implementation, Voice of the Customer and lean Six Sigma applications.
Recently, Loucif was named a “Hero of the 500” by Fortune magazine for leading the development of a semi-autonomous car, an initiative known as the “SAM Project.” Loucif led Arrow’s team in modifying a 2014 Corvette Stingray to enable a driver with quadriplegia to drive the car at speed using advanced technology. Former IndyCar driver Sam Schmidt demonstrated the car’s technology by driving multiple laps on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at speeds reaching 107 mph. Chakib Loucif holds a Bachelor degree in Physics and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
