Michael Casullo

For more than 26 years, Michael Casullo has aligned IT systems with corporate objectives to achieve solid business results. As CIO for WildBlue, a satellite broadband provider, he kept applications and infrastructure available to support the system’s three satellites and nearly half a million subscribers. At On Command, as CIO and chief security officer, Casullo developed industry-leading management systems. As a VP at Qwest Cyber Solutions, he managed daily operations for the largest application service provider in North America at the time. Casullo also has served in executive and leadership positions at Velocom, a company that built and operated the world’s largest wireless-local-loop telephony systems, as well as Telecommunications, Inc., which was the nation’s largest cable television provider at the time.Today, Casullo is CIO for Denver-based Ciber, a multinational IT consulting company with some 6,700 employees in 15 countries. Early on in his tenure, he created processes and policies to ensure that the IT team is closely allied with business peers and their corporate goals. He also has been transforming the company’s IT from locally-focused and loosely consolidated groups to a global organization that supports Ciber’s business with 24/7 coverage and system availability.
Casullo holds a BS degree from Regis University in Computer Information Systems and an MS degree from the University of Denver in Telecommunications. He is also a member of the board for Colorado Outward Bound Schools and on the advisory board for the University of Colorado, Denver, Center for Information Technology Innovation.
